A bedroom in the early morning: someone in pyjamas holds their iPhone against the Sleepslab on the dresser

Endless snoozing is over.

For less scrolling in bed, and mornings that start on time.

Snoozing feels like five more minutes. It only makes you more tired.

After the first alarm, you never really fall back asleep. What you get are short, light bits of sleep that keep being interrupted. And every time the alarm goes off again, you are woken up all over again.

Many people get up no fresher after snoozing three times than after the first alarm. That heavy, sluggish feeling is called sleep inertia, and it can hang around for a while. Meanwhile, half your morning is gone.

Hop Awake puts the snooze button out of reach. You get up once, and that’s that.

One night with Hop Awake

From bedtime to good morning.

  1. A hand puts the Sleepslab down on a wooden dresser in the evening

    22:30 Evening block

    No more doomscrolling at night.

A quick scroll in bed easily turns into an hour. In the app you choose which apps lock, and from what time, until you tap your Sleepslab in the morning. Calls always get through.

  2. iPhone showing the Alarms screen of the Hop Awake app, in Dutch: weekdays 06:30 and weekend 08:30 switched on

    06:30 Alarm

    The alarm goes off.

Press stop and it goes off again two minutes later, until you have tapped your Sleepslab. That sits out of reach of your bed, so you have to get up.

  3. An iPhone taps the Sleepslab; the screen switches to Good morning

    06:31 Tap

You walk to the Sleepslab and tap.

The Sleepslab is on the other side of the room. Hold your iPhone against it. The alarm stops and your apps open again.

  4. Someone standing next to the bed holds their iPhone against the Sleepslab on the dresser

    06:32 Up

    You’re up. That’s it.

No half hour of scrolling in bed. Your day starts at the time you chose yourself.
